Negation is a book of abstracted and negated poetry by Hank Lazer, letterperss printed in an edition of 50. Each book comes with a cassette recording (inset in binding structure) of the author reading the poetry. The Nideggen paper is hand-dyed with coffee and gouache and dryed on a large air vent. The images are drawings made into photopolymer plates and the text is both hand-set and photopolymer. The line of punched out holes over the first poem of the book calls attention to the fact that the first letter of each line of poetry can be read down offering another simultaneous reading. 1995.
